Here is a healthier alternative to using regular refined flour. Not only this rich in basic nutrient flour is beneficial for a bio eating lifestyle, but the end result is also very tasty and delicious!

- 2 cups of whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar (packed)
- 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips (One 12 ounces package)
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of softened butter (or margarine)
- 1 tsp. of vanilla
- 1 tsp. of baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. of salt

  Instructions

Preheat oven at 350°F.

In a large bowl, mix the butter (or margarine), egg and vanilla. Incorporate while stirring the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix in the chocolate chips and the optional nuts (see our chunky walnut version for another "nutty" option). With a spoon, make multiple one inch rounded dough and place these approximately two inches apart on an oven sheet (can be un-greased).

Place and bake into oven for about 8 to 10 minutes or until they turn to a light browned color. The center of the dough should remain soft however. Let these little tasty treasures cool down a bit and remove from the oven sheet.

Does approximately 36 that your family and frioends will surely appreciate. Pour yourself a glass of milk or make some coffee and enjoy!
