Fudgy Chocolate Layer Cake

1 ½ cup fine flour


1/2 cup cocoa powder


1/3 cup chocolate sour cream


1 teaspoon baking soda


¼ teaspoonful of salt


3/4 cup butter


1/4 Cup sugar


1/4 cup brown sugar


1 egg


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


1/4 cup curd or yogurt


1/4 cup milk


For Chocolate Frosting: 


1 cup cream (whipped)


¼ cup butter


½ cup confectioner’s sugar


1 teaspoon vanilla essence


4 cubes unsweetened chocolate. 


1/3 cup water

Sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, chocolate sour cream and baking powder.


Beat yogurt and add milk, vanilla essence, egg and both types of sugars. Beat well.


Add yogurt mixture to the dry mixture and mix well till it becomes smooth.


Pour the batter into a greased and lined cake tin and bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or till done.


Frosting:




Heat butter, sugar and water.


Add chocolate cubes and heat till it melts and the mixture becomes thick.


Remove and let it cool.


Add the mixture to the whipped cream and mix well.


 


Cut the cake into two equal halves. Spread half the frosting on one half and place the other half on it. Now spread the remaining frosting on the top layer. Serve this yummy cake to your guests.
